What is an exit survey?

Exit survey — is a questionnaire conducted with users or clients at the moment they are about to stop using a product or service. The purpose of such a survey is to understand the reasons for leaving, identify problems, and gather feedback to improve the product and increase retention.

For example, if a user deletes an app or cancels a subscription, they may be asked to answer a few questions about the reasons for this decision. This helps the product team identify weak spots and take measures to reduce churn.
