Is it possible to cancel a coroutine launched via GlobalScope?

Coroutines launched via GlobalScope are not tied to a specific lifecycle and live until completion or cancellation. However, such coroutines can be canceled if you have a reference to the Job returned when launching.

Example:

val job = GlobalScope.launch {
    // coroutine work
}

// Later you can cancel
job.cancel()

If you do not keep the Job, you cannot cancel the coroutine, as GlobalScope does not provide a built-in mechanism for mass cancellation. Therefore, launching coroutines in GlobalScope without control is not recommended, especially in Android, where managing the lifecycle is important.
