What is your favorite prioritization framework and why?

My favorite prioritization framework is RICE (Reach, Impact, Confidence, Effort). It helps objectively evaluate tasks based on four parameters:

• Reach — how many users or customers will be affected by the task.
• Impact — how much the task will improve the product or business.
• Confidence — how confident we are in the estimates and success.
• Effort — how many resources and how much time will be required.

Formula: RICE Score = (Reach × Impact × Confidence) / Effort

The advantage of RICE is that it considers not only benefits and costs but also the degree of confidence, which helps in making more balanced decisions, especially under uncertainty.

This allows prioritization not only based on intuition but also on quantitative indicators.
