Cognitive load — this is the amount of mental resources a person spends on completing a task or perceiving information. In UX/UI design, it is important to minimize the user's cognitive load so that the interface is intuitive and does not overload their attention and memory. For example, overly complex menus, a large number of options, or unclear terms increase cognitive load and worsen the interaction experience.
