What is sprint planning?

Sprint planning is a meeting in Scrum where the team plans the work for the upcoming sprint. The goal is to determine which tasks from the product backlog will be completed and how exactly the team will implement them.

During sprint planning:

• The Product Owner presents the priority tasks from the Product Backlog.
• The team estimates the tasks and selects those they can complete during the sprint.
• The sprint goal (Sprint Goal) is defined.
• The team breaks down tasks into smaller sub-tasks and plans the work.

Sprint planning helps ensure transparency, alignment, and focus of the team on specific goals throughout the sprint.
