Tell me more about the architecture: how many services were in your area of responsibility?

In my area of responsibility, there were usually between 3 and 7 services that interacted within the IoT ecosystem. For example, one service was responsible for collecting data from devices, another for their preliminary processing and filtering, and a third for storage and providing APIs for data access. Such a modular architecture allowed for isolating functionality, facilitated scaling, and simplified maintenance. Each service was lightweight and specialized, which is important for embedded systems with limited resources.
