Where was the project documentation stored in your last position?

My last job's project documentation was stored in a version control system (Git), in a separate docs folder within the repository. This allowed all developers to access up-to-date documentation along with the code. Additionally, for easier viewing and collaboration, Confluence was used to store architectural decisions, guides, and instructions for working with the project.
