This question is not related to technical aspects of development, but concerns the candidate's personal information. Usually, documents confirming previous employment include:

• Work book
• Employment certificate
• Recommendation letters

If you have such documents, you can provide them upon employer's request. In a technical interview, this question does not affect the assessment of professional skills.
