What is rounding?

Rounding is the process of converting a number to the nearest value with less precision, usually to simplify the number or to bring it to a specific format. For example, rounding decimal numbers to a specified number of decimal places.

Example: the number 3.14159 can be rounded to 3.14 (two decimal places) or to 3 (whole number). Rounding is important in testing and automation to compare values considering acceptable error.
