What is resource leveling?

Resource leveling is a project management method aimed at optimizing the use of resources (people, equipment, materials) to eliminate overloads and conflicts.

When multiple tasks in a project require the same resources simultaneously, it becomes necessary to redistribute or reschedule tasks to prevent resource overload.

For example: if two developers are assigned to different tasks at the same time, but one is occupied at 150%, resource leveling will help adjust the schedule so that the workload is balanced and does not exceed 100%.

This helps improve work efficiency and reduce the risks of delays due to resource shortages.
