What is throughput?

Throughput — this is a metric that shows the amount of work completed over a certain period of time. In Agile and project management, throughput is often measured by the number of tasks, stories, or work items finished by the team during a sprint or other period.

For example, if a team completes 20 tasks during a two-week sprint, then the throughput is 20 tasks per sprint. This metric helps evaluate team productivity, plan future sprints, and identify bottlenecks in the development process.
