The adaptation process in a company usually includes several stages:

1. Familiarization with the project and codebase — studying the architecture, main modules, and coding style.
2. Setting up the working environment — installing necessary tools, dependencies, and access.
3. Introduction to development processes — getting acquainted with the version control system, task tracker, and code review process.
4. Completing initial small tasks under the guidance of a mentor or team lead to reinforce knowledge.

For example, in my experience, adaptation started with reading documentation and reviewing the project's architecture, then I configured the local environment and made initial commits with minor bug fixes, which helped me quickly get up to speed.
