Was your admin panel a standalone system or did it integrate with something like 1C?

In my experience, the admin panel was an independent system developed from scratch to ensure maximum flexibility and independence from external platforms.

However, in some projects, we integrated the admin panel with 1C via API or file exchange to use data from 1C or automate business processes. Such integration allowed for data synchronization and provided a single source of truth.

The choice of approach depends on the project requirements: if close integration with 1C is needed, then integration is justified; if the admin panel needs to be versatile and independent, it is better to develop a standalone system.
