Should auto-scaling be manually activated for Amazon RDS Aurora, or is this feature enabled by default?

Auto-scaling for Amazon RDS Aurora is not enabled by default. To use automatic scaling, you need to manually configure this feature, for example, for Aurora Serverless or enable scaling for Aurora Replica. In a classic Aurora cluster, you can set up automatic addition or removal of replicas, but this requires explicit configuration through the AWS console or API.
