Where was the central service repository located in the architecture of your last project?

In my last project, the central service registry was located in a separate microservice, which was designated as a distinct component of the architecture. It used Eureka (or a similar tool) and was situated in an infrastructure accessible to all microservices, allowing them to register and discover each other. This enabled dynamic management of service addresses and ensured system fault tolerance and scalability.
