Did you interact directly with the client or was everything handled through the PM?

Interaction with the customer can vary depending on the organization and project. Personally, I have experience both in direct communication with the customer and working through a PM.

Direct interaction allows for faster clarification of requirements, prompt resolution of issues, and a better understanding of business logic. However, in large projects, communication is often built through a PM to centralize task management and filter information.

Ideally, a systems analyst should be able to communicate directly with the customer to clarify requirements, but also coordinate with the PM to agree on deadlines and resources.
