The collection and formalization of business and system requirements usually begins with analyzing initial materials — these can be documents, meetings with clients, interviews, working sessions.

Business requirements often come in the form of:

• Text descriptions (technical specifications, requirements documents).
• User stories.
• Diagrams and charts (e.g., BPMN).

For formalizing requirements, I use:

• Creating structured documents with clear descriptions of requirements.
• Modeling processes and systems (UML diagrams, ER diagrams).
• Using specialized tools (Jira, Confluence, Enterprise Architect).

Example: after meeting with business analysts, I formalize requirements as user stories with acceptance criteria, and then coordinate them with the development team and the client for clarification and approval.
