Tell about requirements gathering: what types do you know, what is your approach?

Requirements gathering is the process of identifying, analyzing, and documenting the needs and expectations of the client and end-users. Types of requirements are usually divided into:

• Functional — describe what the system should do (functions, processes).
• Non-functional — requirements related to quality, performance, security, usability, etc.
• Business requirements — the goals and objectives of the business that the system should support.
• User requirements — the expectations and needs of end-users.

My approach to requirements gathering includes:

1. Conducting interviews and workshops with clients and users to identify their needs.
2. Analyzing current business processes and systems.
3. Using modeling techniques (e.g., UML, BPMN) to visualize requirements.
4. Continuous communication and clarification of requirements to avoid misunderstandings.
5. Documenting requirements in an understandable form (specifications, user stories).

This approach helps to obtain a complete and accurate understanding of tasks and expectations, minimizing risks in subsequent project stages.
