What types of integration have you worked with?

In the practice of a systems analyst, the following types of integration are often encountered:

• API integration — interaction via REST, SOAP, or GraphQL APIs for data exchange between systems.
• Database integration — direct data exchange through shared databases or replication.
• File exchange — transferring data via CSV, XML, JSON files over FTP, SFTP, or other protocols.
• Messages and queues — using message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) for asynchronous communication.
• ETL processes — extracting, transforming, and loading data between systems.
• Middleware integration — using middleware to reconcile formats and protocols.

Depending on the project and system architecture, one or more of these types of integration may be used.
