How much time did you dedicate to automated tests in your last project?

In my last project on test automation, about 30-40% of the total development time was allocated. The main focus was on writing and maintaining automated tests for critical business functions and APIs, which allowed for quick regression detection and increased product stability. The rest of the time was spent on manual testing, bug analysis, and improving the testing infrastructure.
