What do you prefer — writing tests or tinkering manually?

I enjoy balancing between writing tests and manual exploration. Automation allows for quick and reliable verification of repetitive scenarios, while manual testing helps identify unexpected bugs and understand the system's behavior more deeply. For example, when developing automated tests, I can cover the main cases, and then manually check boundary conditions or UX aspects that are difficult to automate.
