Assessment of SQL skills on a ten-point scale depends on experience and knowledge:

• 1-3: basic knowledge, able to write simple SELECT, WHERE queries.
• 4-6: understand JOIN, aggregate functions, able to create and modify tables.
• 7-8: experience in query optimization, working with indexes, complex subqueries.
• 9-10: deep understanding of the internal structure of DBMS, writing complex stored procedures, triggers, architecture-level optimization.

For example, if you confidently write queries with multiple JOINs and subqueries but haven't worked on optimization, you can rate yourself at 6-7.
