What is onboarding and what are its tasks?

Onboarding is the process of introducing a new user or customer to a product, service, or company with the goal of helping them quickly and effectively start using the product.

Main onboarding tasks:

• Explain the value of the product and its key features.
• Help the user take the first steps (registration, setup).
• Reduce entry barriers and decrease user churn.
• Ensure a positive user experience from the very beginning.

Example: when launching an app, the user is shown a series of tips or a tutorial that explains how to use the main features.
