What is ICE scoring?

ICE scoring is a prioritization method for ideas or tasks that helps quickly assess their potential. The acronym ICE stands for Impact, Confidence, and Ease. Each parameter is assigned a numerical score, usually from 1 to 10, after which an average or product is calculated to determine the overall priority.

Example:

• Impact — how much the idea will affect the product or business.
• Confidence — how confident you are in your assessments and data.
• Ease — how simple and quick it is to implement.

Formula: ICE Score = (Impact + Confidence + Ease) / 3 or ICE Score = Impact × Confidence × Ease
