What is gradual rollout?

Gradual rollout — is a strategy of phased release of a new feature or product, where the update becomes available first to a small portion of users, and then gradually spreads to everyone. This allows:

• To test stability and performance in real conditions.
• To quickly identify and fix errors.
• To minimize risks associated with mass release.

For example, a new version of an app might initially appear to 5% of users, then after a few days to 20%, and so on, until it reaches 100% of the audience.
