Have you had disagreements with colleagues over technical solutions? How did you resolve them?

In my practice, there have been situations where disagreements arose over technical solutions. Usually, this happened due to different views on architecture, technology choices, or implementation approaches.

To resolve such situations, I adhere to the following principles:

• Listen to colleagues' arguments, try to understand their point of view.
• Suggest conducting a discussion involving other specialists or creating a small prototype to test hypotheses.
• Rely on objective criteria: performance, scalability, maintainability, deadlines, and budget.
• If the decision is critical, initiate a vote or consult with the technical leader.

This approach helps reach a compromise or choose the optimal solution, maintaining team spirit and respect.
