Where will the median and mean be located in a right-skewed distribution?

In a right-skewed (positively skewed) distribution:

• The mean (mathematical expectation) is shifted to the right, that is, it is farther in the tail of the distribution.
• The median is located to the left of the mean, closer to the center of the data.

In other words, the arrangement along the axis is:

Mode < Median < Mean

This is because the long right tail pulls the mean to the right, while the median is less sensitive to extreme values and remains closer to the main mass of the data.
