Is it possible to modify the size of the stack area allocated for data storage in programming?

In Java, the stack size for each thread is usually set when the thread is created and cannot be changed dynamically during program execution. The stack is used to store local variables, method calls, and control execution.

If you need to change the stack size, it is done through JVM parameters at startup, for example, using the -Xss option:

java -Xss512k MyApp

where 512k is the stack size in kilobytes.

Therefore, it is not possible to programmatically change the stack size of an already running thread.
