In your last project, was the business logic implemented on the database side or in the application?

In my last project, the business logic was primarily implemented in the application. This allowed for flexible process management, the use of object-oriented approaches, and easier code maintenance. The database only contained necessary constraints and triggers to ensure data integrity, while complex calculations and rules were implemented at the application service level.
