What infrastructure tasks have you done manually — databases, queues, orchestrators?

In my practice, I independently configured and maintained the following infrastructure components:

• Databases:

  • Installation and configuration of PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  • Setting up replication and backups.
  • Query and index performance optimization.

• Message Queues:

  • Deployed and configured RabbitMQ and Apache Kafka.
  • Set queue policies, exchanges, error handling.

• Orchestrators:

  • Worked with Kubernetes: wrote deployment manifests, configured services, ingress, configmaps.
  • Configured Helm charts to simplify deployment.

These tasks included deployment, monitoring, scaling, and incident troubleshooting.
