When determining and ranking task priorities, I usually use an approach based on the importance and urgency of the task.

1. First, I assess the business value of the task — how much it impacts the final result or the client.
2. Then, I consider the urgency — whether there are strict deadlines or dependencies on other tasks.
3. I evaluate the complexity and resources required to complete it.

After that, I create a list of tasks, where the most important and urgent ones are at the top. In Java projects, I often use task management tools (for example, Jira), where priorities can be set and progress tracked.

Example: if there is a bug that blocks user work, it gets the highest priority, even if a new feature is important but not urgent.
