What was the maximum workload of a project in your practice?

In one of the Java projects, the maximum load reached about 10,000 concurrent users with peak requests of around 5,000 per second. To ensure such performance, caching (Redis), asynchronous request processing, as well as SQL query optimization and load balancing between multiple application servers were used.
