What was the request rate per second you achieved on your last project?

In our last project with Go, we achieved around 5000 requests per second on a single server using an optimized HTTP server and caching. This was accomplished through efficient use of goroutines and minimizing locks. Load testing tools such as wrk and vegeta were used for testing.
