What takes precedence — business interests or user interests? Was there an example in practice where a choice had to be made?

Ideally, the interests of the business and the user should be balanced, as a successful product satisfies user needs and simultaneously benefits the business.

However, if a choice must be made, I lean towards prioritizing the interests of the user. Without meeting user needs and building trust, a business cannot survive for long.

In my experience, there was a case where the business wanted to implement aggressive advertising in the product, which could have worsened the user experience. We conducted an analysis and proposed a compromise — less intrusive advertising formats that do not interfere with the main functionality. This helped maintain user loyalty while increasing revenue.

Thus, it is important to find solutions that consider both sides, but in contentious cases, prioritize the long-term interests of users.
