What UI libraries have you worked with? What are the pros and cons of Ant Design and Material UI?

I worked with Ant Design and Material UI — two popular React UI libraries.

Ant Design:

• Pros:
  • Rich set of components focused on business applications.
  • Well-designed with an emphasis on corporate style.
  • Built-in support for theming and localization.
  • Documentation with examples and API.
• Cons:
  • Large bundle size, which can affect performance.
  • Strict design that is not always easy to customize for a unique style.

Material UI:

• Pros:
  • Follows Google Material Design guidelines, providing a modern and familiar interface.
  • Highly customizable through theme and styling system.
  • Active community and frequent updates.
  • Good integration with TypeScript.
• Cons:
  • Sometimes more difficult to configure components for non-standard requirements.
  • Some components may be excessive for simple projects.

The choice between them depends on project requirements: if a strict corporate style and a ready-made set of components are needed — Ant Design; if flexibility and modern design are important — Material UI.
