Have you ever worked with micro frontends? What are micro frontends used for, what problem do they solve?

Microfrontends are an architectural approach where a frontend application is divided into independent parts, each developed, deployed, and updated separately. It's similar to microservices but for UI.

Why are microfrontends needed:

• They allow different teams to work autonomously on their parts of the interface.
• They simplify scaling development and maintenance of large projects.
• They enable the use of different technologies in different parts of the application.
• They facilitate gradual refactoring and migration of legacy monoliths.

The problem that microfrontends solve is the complexity and bulkiness of a monolithic frontend, where a large codebase becomes difficult to maintain and slows down development. Dividing into microfrontends helps reduce coupling and increase flexibility.

Example: a large online store can have separate microfrontends for the catalog, cart, and user profile, each deployed separately and capable of using different technologies.
