I have experience with both options. Sometimes I had to create microservices from scratch, which allowed for designing the architecture to be as flexible as possible and tailored to specific tasks. In other cases, I improved existing microservices by enhancing their functionality, performance, and integration with other services. For example, during improvements, I often encountered the need to refactor code and optimize interactions between services via API.
