Participation in the architectural committee: have you ever had to defend your decision or when a decision was not accepted?

In the architecture committee, I had to defend my decisions, especially when they concerned technology choices or scaling approaches. For example, I proposed using Kubernetes for container orchestration, arguing its flexibility and community support. In such cases, I provided examples of successful cases, assessed risks and benefits to persuade the team.

There were situations when decisions were not made due to lack of consensus or insufficient information. In such cases, we agreed on additional research, prototyping, or discussions with other stakeholders to revisit the issue later with a more complete picture.
