Most modern projects use Java version 11 or higher, as it is an LTS (Long Term Support) version with support and improvements. Sometimes Java 8 is used, especially in older projects, due to stability and compatibility. In new projects, Java 17 may be used, which is also an LTS and includes new language features and performance improvements.
