Caching mechanism is a method of temporarily storing data or computation results in a fast-access storage to speed up repeated access and reduce load on primary data sources.

How it works:

1. When a request for data is made, the system checks if the required information is in the cache.
2. If the data is not present (cache miss), data is fetched from a slow source (e.g., a database or external API).
3. The retrieved data is stored in the cache.
4. Subsequent requests retrieve data from the cache, which is much faster.

Example: a web server caches the results of complex database queries to serve data faster on subsequent requests and reduce database load.
