Which scripting language do you have more experience with: Bash or Python?

Scripting experience depends on tasks and environment, but generally:

• Bash is more commonly used for simple system scripts, task automation in Unix environments, process management, file handling, and system utilities.
• Python is suitable for more complex scenarios where working with data, network requests, parsing, API integration, and cross-platform scripts are required.

Speaking of my experience, I have written more scripts in Python because it allows creating more readable and maintainable code, quickly prototyping solutions, and utilizing a rich ecosystem of libraries.

An example of a simple Python script for monitoring service status:

While I used Bash scripts for automating the start and stop of services, backups, and simple administrative tasks.
