How did you get your first professional position in this field?

My first professional position in C/C++ was obtained through an internship at a company where I underwent training and performed small coding and debugging tasks. I actively participated in open-source projects and created small applications, which helped build my portfolio.

I also focused on learning the basics of the language, algorithms, and data structures, which helped me pass technical interviews successfully. The ability to work in a team and a desire to learn were also important factors I demonstrated in practice.
