Mad Devs is hiring a Junior DevOps/Systems Engineer to manage identity, access, onboarding and offboarding, SaaS productivity systems, security controls, monitoring, and automation. The role is remote and requires availability for at least 4–5 hours of daily overlap with US Central Time.
Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain SSO integrations using SAML, OIDC, and SCIM.
- Provision, modify, and deprovision accounts, groups, roles, and permissions.
- Process access requests and maintain access review records.
- Handle employee onboarding and offboarding, including accounts, tools, hardware, access, asset recovery, and data preservation.
- Administer Google Workspace, Slack, identity providers, MDM, password managers, and other SaaS productivity systems.
- Provide first-line internal IT support, resolve and document issues, and escalate when needed.
- Enforce MFA, conditional access, least privilege, and baseline security configurations.
- Monitor security tooling, investigate anomalies and alerts, and escalate incidents.
- Maintain access, change, and review records for audit readiness.
- Write Python, Bash, or TypeScript automation, work with SaaS APIs, and build small internal tools.
- Improve inherited systems, processes, and runbooks.
Conditions
Salary: $1,500–2,000 gross.
Remote, full-time work.
