The role focuses on designing, building, and scaling backend systems for a digital asset trading platform. The developer will work on low-latency, high-throughput infrastructure and contribute to the reliability, performance, and scalability of core trading systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs for crypto trading systems
- Build and optimize low-latency trading infrastructure
- Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration with backend services
- Optimize system performance and scalability to support increasing trading volumes
- Troubleshoot and debug complex production systems
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Java code following best practices
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers
- Collaborate with trading, operations, and senior leadership teams
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies in crypto, digital assets, and trading systems
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience building backend systems for trading, financial, or crypto platforms
- Strong expertise in Java 17
- Hands-on experience with Spring Framework, Aeron, PostgreSQL, SBE (Simple Binary Encoding), REST APIs and WebSockets, FIX protocol, and direct TCP / UDP networking
- Solid understanding of low-latency and high-throughput system design
- Experience with Docker and cloud infrastructure, AWS preferred
