UltraViolet Cyber is hiring a Senior Security Engineer specializing in Splunk. The role focuses on designing and implementing Splunk Enterprise Security, supporting Cribl deployments, developing threat detection capabilities, and supporting security monitoring and incident response.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Splunk Enterprise Security for large-scale enterprise network environments.
- Provide O&M support for large Cribl deployments.
- Develop custom Splunk apps, dashboards, and reports.
- Create and optimize complex SPL queries for threat detection and security analytics.
- Integrate Splunk with other security tools.
- Design and maintain Splunk data models for security use cases and compliance reporting.
- Develop custom threat detection rules and correlation searches in Splunk.
- Configure and tune Splunk alerts to reduce false positives.
- Support compliance reporting for FISMA, RMF, and other federal requirements.
- Provide technical expertise during security incidents and coordinate response activities.
Conditions
Hybrid work format in Herndon, VA or Washington, DC.
Annual salary of $140,000–$155,000.
