CustomerTimes is looking for a System Administrator to maintain and support Linux and Windows server infrastructure, virtualization, backups, automation, networking, and monitoring systems. The role includes routine administration, troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration with the IT team.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Linux servers, including configuration, monitoring, updates, and basic troubleshooting
- Support Windows Server environments and manage Active Directory users and groups
- Assist with Hyper-V virtualization, including virtual machine provisioning, snapshots, and basic performance checks
- Monitor backup jobs and alerts using Veeam Backup
- Verify backup results and assist with test restores and recovery procedures
- Run and maintain existing Ansible playbooks
- Update Ansible inventories and variables
- Automate routine administrative tasks
- Maintain server, virtual machine, and network inventory in NetBox
- Manage IPAM data and basic device records
- Support and troubleshoot network infrastructure
- Work with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and MikroTik routers
- Assist with firewall-related tasks involving Fortinet or similar systems under supervision
- Support Prometheus metrics collection and use Grafana dashboards to monitor system and service health
- Participate in patch management, backup verification, and disaster recovery activities
- Monitor system and network performance and escalate issues when required
- Follow security best practices and internal IT policies
- Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
